hey man ive been looking into this while sitting here at work and i am wondering what you did with the computer itself, did you stick it under the seat or mount it somewhere in the dash or what? i am debating on doing a rear seat delete for my xbox and maybe putting in one of these in a micro atx case.

If you would actually read his post, you would know it is under the seat.

Wait, you got that all wrong! That isn't a dual processor computer! It is a single processor, dual core

Sorry, just had to point that out

Ah, gotcha, the reason why i asked is because i was hoping he had mounted it behind his dash, i was thinking about doing this and putting a dvd rom below the lcd screen where the a/c controls are, and either relocating the a/c controls or get rid of them all together. hmm i guess i could get an external one and use one of the usb ports.

Just bought a brand new jetway c7 and a 7in lilliput. I just hate to hack up my dash trying to get it installed.

That's very nice I'm thinking about doing CarPC right now too.
couple of questions:
1) as I understood, PAC-SWIX is adapter that wires to you steering wheel buttons, "deciphers" them, and translates it into infrared signals learned from remote of headunit? What box do you need to work it with CarPC?
2) why do you need that front-end soft? Is XP not enough?
3) What do you reckon, would 8" LCD fit? maybe with moving a/c controls down a bit?

if I can do this and install my HP tuners program to tune/make changes that will be probably the coolest thing ever. with the real time tuning feature in hpt that would be awesome. Thanks for the write up.

I was thinking the same thing as I read through the write up. That would be the **** if you could get and extra HPtuners cable and run the software on there. Having everything right there infront of you at a touch of a button would be nice.

Does that actually run windows? it would be nice to install HPT on that thing and leave your interface plugged in the back. Maybe a flash drive somewhere to swap folders

EDIT:

OK^^^^^^ looks like everyone beat me to that thought.
I fail
