Default Stupid Condensation

My car is in storage, b/c of the winter's here in chi-town... Anyways i was going to see my trans am today i was pulling my headrests covers off to get them embroirded. When i went to go and lift up my car cover, the cover was SOAKED and thus my car all the way up to my door handle. I was like WTF all 4 of my rims were dripping wet, as if someone took a hose and jsut soaked my rims.

But yeah that was jsut a little rant...

You have it in a garage? I have my SS in storage, and I keep a small bathroom heater in there when it gets cold. Just a thought.

It has to be the weather doing this. Last week it was like 3* - 18*, then this week it is been 58* - 68*....

Yeah its definitly the drastic temp changes. I know they make humidifiers, but not sure if there are dehumidifiers for rooms. You could get something like that, it would help. The heater trick works for me, but then again it only got into the 20s down here.

Bingo, theres another idea. I have some kind of moisture absorber called Damp-Rid that I put in the interior, smells good too. You can get it at any Target or Wal-Mart.

There is no moisture in my car. It is all on the out side. But for the inside i use Damp-Rid... It takes all the moisture out of the air

I could use that, but i keep my car at my moms house in the garage, i do not live there so i do not want to run up her electric bill....... Good idea though

Would a heater actually be able to heat a 1 car garage...

Yea, I had the same problem yesterday when I was working on the car. Looked like someone sprayed the entire car. Some of my other items were extremely damp also, like my audio setup and my subs which were outside of the car.

Its def b/c of the temp change. The garage floor or anything for that matter that would'of been cold with the below freezing temps would stay cold but as soon as the air warms up around it, all those cold things including your floor begin to "sweat" so to speak with condensation...Its the same thing as taking an ice cold beer out in the middle of summer. Ever look at the can in a min or two and see the condensation dripping off? Same principle here, only it sucks b/c its all over our pretty cars!!

You have me scared, I'm going to have to go check out my car. I don't want water just sitting on my polished wheels.

At least we are preserving the car by storing it. Less miles on the car!
