I hear when they changed the design they fixed the quality issues.

Does anyone have pictures of the under side of the hood? I've never seen it and have been curious.

I have that hood, love it so far! I wanted a ws6 really bad, but this hood grew on me to the point where I wouldn't have anything else. So far my fitment good, no gaps or anything so I guess I got one of the good ones.

Here's the only pics I have that really show it off:

Not to mention, almost no one has the hood so it kind of adds an exclusivity factor. Also, it's pretty cool to look down the vents when driving, it looks badass. Good luck!

Ok, doing you a huge favor here...

I just took these pics of the underside of the hood for you two minutes ago. Now, before I get hammered for it not being clean, keep in mind I JUST TOOK THESE FOR SHOWING THE VENTS ONLY! It's winter up here in CT, and snowing almost every day...

The large rear four vents and the three small vents on each side are for heat coming from the engine, the front hole is where the water drains from.

Eh, didn't really like the looks of it from the pics. Haven't ever seen one in person.

I've seen the spoiler in person and I like it but it's so heavy that the hatch never will pop up enough to unlatch. I want to get one for my car

That's one dirty engine bay nddragon01! Thanks for taking the pics

I like the Mecham hood, but my car isnt garage kept during the summer unfortunitly. I also Daily drive it, and when it rains i also drive it. So would this hood be a bad idea? Water could get in my engine bay from the extractors? Thx let me know

Wow this thread is old! Rain isn't a problem, there is a catch tray that leads the water out in front of the airbox. I drive mine year-round, rain or shine. You'll be fine.

Bumping this again, for the reason of I want the older style Mecham hood. The new style looks good but the older style looks better to me, its not so "LOOK AT ME!!"
