Honestly, I MIGHT be able to get a clear (or any color) plastic lens made but it would be expensive and I don't think there is a market on here for clear T/A tail lights...

Could you atleast check on this for me? Ive been trying to find a place to make me clear lense for awhile now and havnt come up with anything. Even if you didnt offer it to the public I would pay for the whole process if it was do able just so I can have them.

I know alot of ppl wont like them but Id love to have them for my LED tails.

Well, here's the process that I can get done, not sure if it is enough:

Send me a set of tail lights...

I take them to my plastic guy...

They make a mold and a plug of them (unless they can just thermal form over the plastic which I doubt)... This is where it costs money, it was going to be $250 just for a little tweeter pod.

Then they are able to thermal form any plastic (clear, clear with colored tint, solid color, etc...) over it.

Here's where I'm not sure if it is enough... Then you are left with a lens. You would have to figure out how to cut your lens off and epoxy this one on...

Well if you heat the lights up, the glue softens up and u can pull the lense off. The 93-97 light were able to seperate the red reflectors from the clear lights. But in the 98-02 its not seperate. I was thinking about getting 93-97 tails and sanding the black grid lines from the clear lense and polishing them back up. But im not even sure if it would work.

Ill think about it and let you know.

I'll ask next time I'm there to see if I can get an estimate. If there is a local Bird that is interested I can get a firm price by borrowing their tails...

Yeah, just to make the mold to reproduce. After that I could sell them for under $100 a pair. Just not enough interest to invest into it... I had made a post.

I'll work on a template within the next couple of weeks. Need to finish the LT1 Camaro first...

You haven't seen me on there yet If you watched Syriana I'm the only person in the second to last scene...

This is what the LS1 Camaro splitter looks like when held up underneath an LS1 TA. The difference in shape is very very minor. The Formulas may require some additional cutting on the side closest to the wheel well to allow it to pull closer to the back of the car, but maybe that's just me. I may get one now... lol.

THIS PIC DOES NOT SHOW THE FINAL PRODUCT

Yes, we have more pics with the Camaro splitter on a SOM WS6 and a pewter Formula. No, I don't have them.
