i think it would kill air flow under the car on the camaro, that's where we need the air to cool the condenser and radiator.

Now this isn't accurate but I tried my best to visualize what it would possible look like on an LS1 car from the front. Sorry to the owner of this car if hes reading this and doesn't like the splitter. It was the best picture I had on my computer of a LS1 car at the right angle.

If it doesn't block air I would buy it for the sole purpose of keeping the paint on my bumper from getting scraped up (I have a low car)...

Seems like this would be bone simple to fabricate with a piece
of 1/4" plastic and a saber saw. I have seen the splitters on
racing 'vettes but those stuck out several inches. Not sure
how effective a little 1" stickout would be and the racing ones
were beyond ugly, big as they were.

I have one on my GTO (not Kircher's, but its a splitter none the less) and it works...to protect my front bumper from scrapes and scratches. It doesn't serve an aerodynamic purpose but I'm OK with that. It adds to the looks and it helps to protect the car. On a Trans Am it might look a little busy IMO, but on a Camaro with a raked look already I think it would be a nice, subtle addition that would really add a lot to the car.

FWIW thats with the protective strip still left on. I dont know if Kircher provides one with his splitter or not but I do know that I've seen them on his and it looks killer. You can pick up the strip from Lowes or Home Depot too I believe and I know you can order it online.

There are 2 sides to that coin, if it creates high air pressure between the splitter and the bumper it is causing drag, which isn't aerodynamically ideal, however if it brings the front end down enough to cause the air to go faster over the hood line then it would work. Eitherway, people would most likely be using these for appearance rather than aerodynamics.

That question is COMPLETELY pointless... Those huge spoilers aerodynamically function but are still conisdered RICE

I think (and it's just my opinion since there is no real definition) RICE is simply something added to a car that is tasteless or gawdy and usually to give the appearance of being a faster car than it actually is by utilizing unneccessary (functional or not) pieces...
