^^That hood ALMOST ended up on my car ! I love it ! I've always drooled over the car as well (only one on the bored I could find that had it and made it look good )...

I would make it a little cleaner (no emblem, no stop in the hood paint and fill the holes on the bumper):

...but overall think that car looks great and is pretty unique on this board

I have a Sunoco hood as well but I don't have an SS spoiler or Z06 wheels on mine.

I am taking the emblems off the hood and I am getting an SLP Bowtie grille, but I probly won't change the paint on the hood, that is one of the unique touches to it. But thanks for the compliments.

I really like the Ultra Z as well BUT they are hard to find and cost $600-$700. The Sunoco hood is $495 everyday at www.vfnfiberglass.com (the site says $550 but tell them you are a LS1tech member and they give you a 10%discount )!

Well, I had it on my car and didn't really like it (although I loved it on my 1994 Electron Blue Z and love it in all the pictures, including my own, on the web).

Regardless, here's some VERY OLD (no more halos, back emblems, stock hood, etc...) pics for you (since your cars is NBM as well):

Hey, you just can't beat FREE!!! Its just the fact that it does look wrong... at least in my eyes it does... but if you're cool with it, thats what matters since its your car, but just try to picture yourself a 4th gen trans am with a SS scoop on it.... see my point?

There is so much hate for the ram air style hood on camaros lol.

I think it can look decent when it's done up properly.

Guess I should have mentioned I also have an SS spoiler that needs painted. This hood thread has turned into a spoiler thread.

+1 My friend Mcmuffin's car is gonna look great when it is finished, just needing some paint and finishing touches but it will be done in a few weeks. Hell I think it looks good now IMO. But I am also tired of seeing every 98-02 camaro with a SS hood and spoiler. But if 99% of the LS1 camaros are all the same except colors then us 1% stand out in a crowd and look like we put some thought into our cars. Just my opinion though, to each their own.

Ummm... no. That hood makes an INCREDIBLE looking car INCREDIBLY HIDEOUS

Even if I had no clue it was off a Trans-Am, it still looks hideous because it does not go with the lines of the car at all.

The LT1 style WS6 hood on LS1 Camaros looks "ok". Not great but not hideous...
