Only the LT1 taillights can be done that way. The honeycombs can NOT.

damn wish they would just sale them clear. lol yea.. now that i think about it the pic was edited. oh well. guess im goin 2 hav to try and make them outta some lt1 and ls1 taillights.. its worth a shot if it comes out nice. it would be a sweet mod.

Yea the actual plastic that the honeycomb pattern is on is red. On the LT1 the red part can be removed once it is taken apart.

maybe its possible 2 place a clear plastic on the red honeycomb and tape n paint the honeycomb design on the clear. dont u think?

u lost me... how would you do away with the red plastic then? totally discard it? are you talking about HARD plastic or just a film?

doesnt the lt1 tail light hav a clear lense? im saying take that one and just copy the honey comb pattern on it from the ls1...then jus stick it on the car. im not really sure how to do it... i need to take apart both ls1 n lt1 tail lights and see what i can do with them.....

i think it would be better if you did that and layed some black decals. have a sign shop make you the design

It looks cool however it is really illegal. Depending on the police in your area you could get pulled over and ticketed because they are clear and not red.
