What I was talking about was cutting the red palstic off completely, heating a piece of lexan in the oven and pushing it down over the old red lens. Once it cools I then have a clear lens to put on the chrome housing! A HARD plastic lens and not film. Then mask off the honeycomb, paint black inside and glue back onto chrome housing. If you want tinted clear, that can be done before glueing the new lens on. Anyone got a taillight sitting around? An LT or LS one would work. Better yet, anyone got one with a broken lens??!! Send it my way and I'll make a clear honeycomb lens for our 'Birds. Swat
