+1, I would never consider this for that exact option. There's so many other options out there that won't weigh as much and are probably cheaper.

These are the most comfortable seats GM has ever put out, period. They are better than any caddy seat, but are supportive. Perhaps the 08/09 V will be comparable but these seats are amazing. They are a step above TA seats, even more than the TA seats are above the camaro seats. Well worth the extra poundage if it's your DD or you have back trouble.

the 1992-1998ish bonneville 12 way adjustable seats are right up there with the GTO seats.

I love my GTO seats, so much more comfortable than my TA seats. (and camaro seats just suck) I wish I could put them in my TA as well

You people are nutz man. Saying you won't buy the seats because they weigh "like 80 pounds, omg" is seriously retarded. How much do you think your stock leather seats weigh? Even the cloth seats weigh a bunch. The amount of speed, horsepower, whatever, your going to loose by picking these up will be completely un-noticeable. You won't even feel a difference. Give me a break.

The only people who can say they wouldn't buy these due to weight are the guys who have stripped out their interior for weight reduction. Otherwise, give me a damn break. I'll take comfortablity and looks over .000000000001 in the 1/4 mile thank you.

If someone gave me a set of those seats I don't think I'd mind the GTO embroidered in. Can't see it when I'm sitting in them and the windows are tinted for when I'm not.

I'd just be worried about falling asleep while driving from too much comfort.

Or you could take a black sharpie and trace the embroidering. Then it would be even less noticeable.

Or pay Grant to re-embroider them.

Fall asleep? In a F-Body? I doubt that there is ALWAYS something rattling in these cars

GTO seats are VERY comfy and they look really nice to in a fbody.

Well, It Fits, But Not Really Aesthetically. I Mean, The Thought Crossed My Mind, But Doesnt Look That Good.

Some of us put performance first way over looks and comfort. Yes, I have a boundary. Especially living in Florida. All 3 of my cars currently have cloth seats. The only reason my 93 won't is the fact that I'm getting leather seats for free and my current ones are all ripped up.

The seats for an fbody weigh as such:
35..Seat, driver's (cloth)
45..Seat, front (leather)
30..Seat, passenger's (cloth)

I'd seriously like to see how much these GTO seats weigh. By looking at them I think they probably weigh about 55-70lbs each. I look at it as a few pounds here and there adds up. I've taken out over 55lbs of useless crap from under the hood of my 93 without spending any money. I can take about another 150-200lbs out of the interior and it's not going to looks like a tin can either. 300lbs is about 3 tenths in the quarter. Just these seats alone are about 50lbs more for the two of them over stock cloth seats. That's about .05 seconds in the quarter.

I liked your original comment better:

Why did you change it?

+1 you shouldn't have changed it. having just taken my seats out i was surprised at how light they were, with the exception of the power driver seat which was heavy. compared to most other seats i have removed these seemed the lightest. especially the back seats.

I weighed my seats before and after I converted to leather. No weight difference... The covers I made are of super plush 4 ounce leather with 1/4 memory foam behind it. I love my camaro seats now.

I remolded a bit of the foam and built up the factory "bucket" seats. The leather also came from a show steer I raised, then slaughtered and sent the skin to Weaver and got my leather. The Initials RM were branded into him about 6 months before I sent it in, and brand didn't turn out super good cause we didn't go deep enough. I wanted to see what the brand would look like on the hide after. The wierd wrinkle in the passenger seat head rest is actually a spot close to his armpit that wouldn't smooth out all the way. I did my door panels and wrapped my new gear shifter in some of his hide. just rambling.

And since then I've fixed my console as you can see in the pic.
