the heat shouldn't matter though, right? we have the shades that go on the t-tops and I have a retractable shade on my grand cherokee.. wouldn't that trap the heat??? I hate when I have the shades off u can stare right into my WS6, thats why I got tint in the first place

obviously it's been done with no ill effects, I just don't get why some tint shops say it cannot be done......??

A long detailed explanation with a conclusion:

Sounds goofy but spray paint the top part of the dots on your back hatch, and then get your tint on or you will have a white strip near the top if you don't.

The guy who tinted my windows wouldnt do the ttops.

I made my own ttop covers for like $8. Cut cardboard to shape, cover it with fabric, attach little verlcro on shade and glass... done. I'll try to get some pictures. I covered them with fabric prints of outer space lol
