I think the t/a rear bumper can pull this off much better. I may be wrong, but it seems like the t/a bumper will cover it up and with the camaro bumper it will be semi-obvious.

I built some brackets and bolted on my tips. I got tired of the black soot. I also had them fully polished. Now my exhaust is dumped before the axle.

There's a few pics here:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/807793-jasonww-s-more-unique-mods.html

Plus I also did a whole thread on them a while back that had more pictures.

It works fine on a Trans am, but I don't think a Camaro can pull it off.

yea, i agree with u on this. Thats what kind of worried me. the t/a bumper does cover it up better, but hopefully i might be able to pull it off with the camaro bumper. but then again, my car is pretty low to the ground, so if someone wanted to look at it and see that they are dummy tips, they would probably have to crouch down alot to see it.

What if you welded a long piece of pipe to the tip and ran it towards the rear axle then have it curve up? Then, it would at least look like it's hooked up to something.

On my GTO I had my exhaust dumped but the tips were still connected. It's a good idea to get the dummy tips in there but I don't think the bumper idea is good... Go under there and look around to see what ideas you get on connecting them. Welding them to something would be best

Camaros are just meant to have the exhaust dumped I say leave it that way.

you have got to be kidding me....why don't you buy a hollowed out ProCharger and mount that in the engine bay too? These are the same people who mount empty nitrous bottles in obvious places and run wires/tubing that just tucks under the carpet somewhere. Its not Halloween, don't buy your car a costume.

It definitely would not look good. The Camaro bumper exposes the entire rear exhaust.

I wish there was a way to pull it off with the camaro. I hate the way mine looks with no exhaust tips.

I disagree with you. A better example would be someone installing a cowl induction hood with a FAST intake even though you don't actually need the extra height. It's just to make the car look better. And since when does having visible exhaust tips mean your a super badass who's really fast? The cars come from the factory with tips. How is that "posing"?

reminds me of the ricers who have "dual fart cans" on their honda.. but when its cold out, the exhaust is only coming out of one tip

if you have fake tips and you are driving when it is cold out... all your exh will be coming from under the car and will look like you have one serious exh leak.

To each their own, but seems a little bushleague to me.

Why do members here pay so much attention to imports? It's like they secretly want one or something.

... When I get duals there is no way that Im going to leave the open space in the bumper. To me leaving it open will look more stupid then having dummy tips.

why don't you just do it right and route the exhaust out the back. The people that bitch about the tips getting black and dirty are wacked out. If you've got the time/money to mod your car, get off your *** and wash it.

i don't like having empty space in my bumper (T/A), so I'll be doing this.
