i might be painting my chrome 10 spokes black this summer. the only reason is because i cant afford to get them rechromed and they are peeling REALLy bad. if the lip isnt peeling at all i might leave it chrome and do the rest black.

After hours of wet sanding, taping, and 3 coats of primer, I think i'm gonna call it a day. Thank God I got a breather mask this time! The filter is BLACK! I saved a few brain cells today! lol.

I should be done with them and mounted up tomorrow!

Damn, I totally want to go paint my stock z28 wheels now.

So what'd you do, wetsand w/400 grit, 3coats of primer, 3 coats of paint then clearcoat?

my last car had wheels rusting so bad because they looked like they had never been cleaned before. i started at 150 grit and moved my way up and got rid of all the chips. i had them painted for about 6 months then i sold the car but they never chipped at all that whole time.

Finished with the color on the remaining 3 wheels, gonna clean up the garage of all the black paint dust, then gonna clear it! Should have some "night" pics up tonight. Daytime pics tomorrow.
