I myself have never heard of it called a heritage plate, i was trying to figure out what was so special about your license plate. The correct term is berger panel. Its called this because Berger Chervolet's Specialty 4th Gen SS's came with them.

Dang xbrokex... I know how you feel.. I had a Red 02 SS, Center exhaust, T-tops, 10spoke rims, 12 disc. cd changer, fully loaded man, car of a lifetime with 20k miles, bought it for $16,000! .. I got off work and had too much to drink.. ate some of those things that grow out of **** (In mario they super size him).. and wasnt able to drive.. So i asked my sober buddy to drive us to Checker's for food.. It was wen i lived in FL and during a big storm through-out the day.. He hit a 2ft. deep flood puddle, slamed the brakes, nd turned the wheel to the right, it hydro planed across 2 lanes, and t-boned the first 2ft. in diameter oak tree seriously totaling the whole freakin car.. For one we were lucky to walk away, my buddy was knocked out unconcious for 1minute, but snapped out of it and we walked away from it!! Couple of bruises, headache, and a deep cut on my buddies eyebrow. One lesson learned.. don't ever let your buddies drive ur Fbody, and take responsibilty into your own hands next time.. it was my fault in the first place... It's ok tho, it was an A4, now i got my M6 z28.. plus my SS made me feel like i was driving a 40yr. olds car just bcuz wen i was 16 a kid was lucky to have one.. now my z28 makes me feel like a kid again! True story.. oh ill try n post a pick.. it went from berger plates too wrecked memories lmao!!

It looks really good on the lighter colored cars but I don't know so much on the NBM's.. not really a point since you can hardly see it. I'll leave mine be

Thank You....BERGER just COPIED it.....G.M. was the FIRST. It was offered as a " Blacked Out Tail Panel " by General Motors. My family had a GM Dealership for 33 years, and I am old and remember very well. On the SS , it was a " No Cost " option. You could get it or not when ordering.
