I myself have never heard of it called a heritage plate, i was trying to figure out what was so special about your license plate. The correct term is berger panel. Its called this because Berger Chervolet's Specialty 4th Gen SS's came with them.

Although I never heard of it called a "heritage" panel before. The blacked out panel was just that, a blacked out panel. My '70 Chevelle SS had it too.

Nope, people here call it a "Berger" panel because they brought it back. Chevrolet has been doing it since the 60's on most SS's.

Thank You....BERGER just COPIED it.....G.M. was the FIRST. It was offered as a " Blacked Out Tail Panel " by General Motors. My family had a GM Dealership for 33 years, and I am old and remember very well. On the SS , it was a " No Cost " option. You could get it or not when ordering.
P.s. Morph your White on Black looks really good!

Nice car Crazy Sweed, but it doesnt count for a heritage plate.. If your car is Black i wouldnt know the optional color.. i guess what every you prefer.. people would still get the idea.. maybe that can be a new trend? Black camaro with white panel, or red? Depending on your color preference!
