In my opinion, if the eyes were on the headlights it might look a little better. I realize it is a tribute and that is why it looks that way. I do think if someone did it to their vehicle that putting the eyes on the headlights might look a little better though.

There must be something wrong with you if you think it looks good. Okay, the guy put a lot of time into it but it is still ugly. So I guess anyone that has a different opinion than you has something wrong with them?

I like it. For a show car it's perfect. But with all th man hours put into it I dont think anyone would want to take the chance of driving it on a daily basis. I sure the hell wouldn't. But you have to respect the work that went into it.

So they replace the trans am front bumper cover for a regular firebird fascia so the shark teeth would flow better?

I think it is badass. Would I do it to my car? No, but I don't drive a show car either. The way it is painted is for a reason. That paint job has history behind it. Unlike some of the other car pics in this thread!

The workmanship that went into that car is unbelievable. The interior made the car.

Hey, no worries everyones opinion matters! The theme came from a love for the paint job on those warplanes. As I grew up a good friend of mine flew an A-10 with the same mouth on the front. The car was made to show off the great workmanship that our shop was capable of as well. You know I drive the car around to show it and have fun that is really what it is all about. The car sits on the showroom of Mike Raisor Pontiac in Lafayette Indiana. If you are anywhere close stop in and see the car! Take it for what it is worth, I like different things. I will still pull up beside you and hammer the hell out of it, cars in my opinion were meant to be driven. Dustin and my daughter will be out running it I think in about 10 drag racing events around the country this year. So walk up to them and tell them hello they love to talk and race. More information my middle daughter owns a WS-6 youngest daughter has a G-6 GXP street edition and Morgan has the Bullrun Trans Am as well as a G-6 GXP street edition as well. I have this P-40 and another red trans am I still use as a demo. Stay tuned for the next project the 2008 G-8 LSX? I hope you all have as much fun as I am having!

Love it... sweet car and I love what it is based on. Good job on the work. Actually, I have wanted to do a Flying Tigers theme car for ever, but on a camaro painted army drab green, with shark teeth, blacked out wheels, and thats it.... not doing it to my BGM car though...

id own it and turn the damn thing into a drag car! That would be pretty much the only purpose for a paint job like that...

I'll jump in too! That car is sick. Hmmm... There was a bagged truck featured in Mini Truckin that was a P-51 replica that had a pin up girl painted on the tonneau cover. Reminds me of this T/A. The attention to detail on the truck and this T/A really make the car. Awesome show car, especially for the retired military that were activated in that era.

Some one off custom wheels would complete the car. As mentioned earlier, a drag setup wouldnt be too bad either. It would just have to "fly" at the track (1/4) to back up that paint job.
