military theme trans am (pics)
Came across this picture and thought I would share it for the hell of it. Now this isnt my cup of tea but it looks much better than i could have pictured it. For all I know this could be posted in the cheesy photo thread already. Looks like a quality paint job though, esp with the details like the rivets.

This car was featured in an issue of performance pontiac. It said "400 hours of shop time were dedicated to the body and paint." I think the paint scheme looks great for a drag or show car, which is exactly what it is.
Oh, and the paint scheme is based off the WWII AVG Squadron.

alot of aviation units have used that paint scheme, but the origonal unit was the 8th battalion 229th aviation regiment "flying tigers" (AVG means american volenteer group, just an old term for reserves). the unit is actually still around, we just fly apaches now here is a picture of one of our birds painted in the traditional flying tigers shark teeth with one of the origonal "flying tigers" Ret. I think it looks bad ***. I would have been really cool if they would have had a primary for each header tube come out the fender or somewhere. Dunno how they would have done it but it would have been awesome.

Definately not going to lose this one in the parking lot. Everyhing on this car is painted. No decals. If you look at it closely you can see the the front end was repalced with a Formula/Firebird nose.
Very creative.

I just saw the car a few days ago. Mike Alsop is a great guy and so is his right hand man, Dustin Wheelock. I am taking my car in tomorrow for Dustin to work his magic on it. It will be sitting in the same shop as the camo Ta above. Dustin is great with F-body's and really knows his stuff. He also is also doing all the work on my car for dirst cheap! The Camo TA is located right here is lafayette, IN at Premier Autosports, the paint job is incredible!
