traction control

Most of that rust is from the previous owner.
His battery had some nasty leakage when I purchased it.
The battery tray is almost non-existent.

the entire point of this thread is to keep the traction control while cleaning up your engine bay...
but some benefits of deleting it are...
1. looks way cleaner without it
2. weight reduction?
3. so you dont have to turn it off every time you want to burn out
4. make room for another switch using the factory switch holes in the dash
5. so you dont try and pull out into traffic and your inside tire spins on a little dirt or rocks, causing your car to pull the petal from your feet. you're a sitting duck in traffic for about 5 tenths of a second.. a car moving 50mph travels approximately 75ft every second.
i only use traction control if its raining or really wet out every other time i turn it off. ive contemplated deleting it many times, mainly for the appearance reasons. but now i dont have to

Man, that hiding mod looks really good. I wish I had thought of that a long time ago.
But since the car only gets out on pretty days now and isn't my DD, I might have to look up deleting it now.

You won't need a right angle drill.
Just put a piece of wood where the hood latch is.
Then close gently close the hood on it, that will give you enough room to drill.
Like this.
Once the hood is resting on the piece of wood place a smaller piece of wood between the drill and the hood, so you don't hit the hood with the drill.
