Is that completely carbon fiber throughout, if so, how much does it weigh? I think that'd looks pretty nice on an all black car too.

Between stock and a CF there would probably be a nice weight difference, but nothing significant unless you are going for a stock internal record or something. There are MANY things you can do that would be a better weight loss:cost ratio than a carbon fiber hood. I would imagine the carbon fiber hood weighs nearly the same as aftermarket fiberglass hoods.

Who did you happen to purchase it from? No sponsors sell carbon fiber hoods so I think it would be safe to give the name. Also, how is the fit on it? Any gaps, etc? Is it real cf all the way through, or just a veneer? Lastly, is the work show-quality, as in, no fish eyes or bubbles, no weave seperation, etc? Sorry for all the questions but I am wanting a carbon fiber hood and I have been highly skeptical on the ones I have seen out there and am just very curious.

i bought the hood from vis. it is definately show quality as much as possible. carbon fiber is never completely perfect. it is all carbon fiber as well. it cost me 746 dollars shipped. hood needs to be adjusted a lil forward and other than that just tiny gaps betwenn the fenders but nothing really noticeable. i was planning on keeping it unpainted but if for any reason i don't really like the look ill paint the hood black with the scoops carbon fiber. this was the first carbon fiber hood i have ever seen in a ws6 style. we also have a vis cobra carbon fiber hood and it is great for over a year already.

as for weight, it is considerably lighter than a stock hood but just a few pounds lighter than my fiberglass hood. if your looking for a light hood only, its not really worth it
