Got Rear Ended..tell Me If This Would Be A Good Idea
Ok so a bitch backed into me and put a hole in my berger panel and fucked up my bumper. She said to get an estimate and if it's under $500 than she would give me cash to fix it. Ok so here's my plan, i want the cash haha and i know it will be less than $500 i think, not sure though if they are gonna have to repaint my bumper and blend it to my fenders which could cost more than $500, ok so back on topic. I want to do the berger mod but now that i have gotten down to it im debating whether to do flat black or satin black..which one should i do?
most of you know what my car looks like anyways but here's a pic of the

The number 1 wrong thing for you to do is take cash. Claim the insurance dude, your making more of a headache for yourself if you don't. The reason she offered you cash is because she probably doesn't have insurance or she wants her rates to stay low. **** that, she hit you. If she doesn't have insurance take her *** to court, don't even mess around with this. Go get 3 to 5 estimates, take pictures and do what's right. She may have caused more than 500 bucks, that's for damn sure. The price of a new bumper and tail panel are probably gonna be about 300 bucks, and the paint could take you over that 500 dollar mark.
As for your question about the berger mod, you have a black car, don't do the mod. On our cars the tail panel isn't just a center insert, so on black cars when it is a different color, it looks unfinished. Almost like you just bought the part and have yet to paint it. Only people who know what it really is will appreciate it, and how many people do you see on the road who know actually will know what it is?
I think in your case, and all black Camaro's, the tail panel should remain all gloss black to match the car.

I say do it so I will know if I'm going to do it also lol. To the people that will think it's unfinished and doesn't know what it is the F them haha if they say anything you can just make them look stupid when you tell them why it is painted like that.

But I wouldn't take the $500 you'll get screwed over man. Just whatever you go with remember it had to match the hood stripe
just stop being a lil bitch and get it done! I was finished results NOW!!!

I think so. I think the berger mod looks great when its done on non-black cars. I think ONE flat black panel on an already black car looks "Cheap and Unfinished", and it does. I don't care what you need to tell yourself at the end of the day to think otherwise. On 4th gen BLACK Camaro's it's cheap.
And, Just because GMMG does it, doesn't mean everyone has to do it. They did that for the retro appeal. Some of you guys need to get off the "Since GMMG does it, I need to" deal.
