New Firebird hood design's by VFN

I was thinking of something along the lines of this... please forgive the fuzzy LT1 pic. These are some rough 2 min sketches But I think they get across the idea.
Most guys seem to want something relatively stock looking and everyone generally likes vents. The Placement in these pics keep the vents doing their job even at speed and you may draw in a few road race guys. Put a small lip at the leading edge of the vents to make sure it's functional... ala C5R and I would think you'd have a home run hood.
I'm not trying to step on any toes. Just trying to make you money and get you to make a hood I would buy if I had an LS1 car... don't forget us LT1 guys!

I think v7guy's pointing you in the right direction. I like his sketches.
Both of those hoods on the first page look plain, boring, don't flow well, etc., etc. Don't reinvent the wheel. Try something more like the Mecham or Raptor hood, etc.
Otherwise, there are enough hoods on the market for Firebirds. I'd just say don't make another. If you don't like the WS6 or the Raptor, then screw you.
For Camaros, thre are only the SS and Sunco. 95% of LS1 Tech agrees: the rest look like total ***. Worst of all is the "WS6 on a Camaro" hood.
The definition of bad taste is to be in the extreme minority opposed to popular opionion.

v7guy those sketches are good!!! Id take the Ls1 hood and take away the solid part in the nostrils and the outer lovours and take the humps to the windshield and BAM you have got a damn nice hood IMHO.

if i had to choose i would take the ws6 style hood , but i definetely wouldnt buy either of them i would try and use the stock ws6 style hood and add a tweak to it kinda like the ws9(outlaw) hood but different

I think a thread like this came up a few months ago. Basically we voted to see if VFN will make a knockoff version of the Mecham hood. VFN said no
But i would love to see something like the raptor hood, maybe with even bigger nostils like the H.O hood. I would also like to see a WS6 hood that's simular to this mustang good
The indent should start half way at the crest of the hood.

It doesn't have to be a knock off of either the raptor or Mecham but something more along those lines.

Sometimes you just can't improve on perfection ...ie meaning the WS6 and Ws9 is pretty much what I think perfect and looks the best probably you can do for the LS1's. I did however see another version that someone made for the LS1's....but there's only one of them!

i would say the same above sketches( heat extractors) with the superhawk , man that will look great, like the corvette hood but on the superhawk . this is my 8th year looking for a hood and still no luck finding a nice one
