Damn, it's an 02 (only 5-6 years old) and already losing the shine?? It must be kept out in the sun a lot. Has it ever been waxed before? My DD 98 is still shining pretty good but I keep it out of the sun as much as possible.
Eagle One Nanowax and Meg NXT are both good products.

Before you start any polish or surface treatments, I would strongly recommend the use of a clay bar. Surface contaminants can also contribute to a dulling clear coat overtime. If you did not have any protection on the surface for extended periods, some early signs of oxidation could also appear.
If you're trying to remove surface scratches, swirl or holograms, hand attempts may be timely with limited success. You may get some short term results with products that give you shine but also temporary filling of those blemishes.
True correction takes place with the use of the machine polishing with experienced users using high speed circular polishers or the random orbital polishers such as the PC or UDM for beginners, novices and enthusiasts. We have had great success with the use of the Menzerna products and TC-8 Swirl Cutter for restoring the surface to like new or better. For long term protection, we can apply the TC-2 liquid carnauba wax for dark colors or TC-3 Sealant xP for light colors and metallics. Be sure to check them out at www.tropi-care.com.
Feel free to contact us with any questions.

I would say you need to clay bar your whole car, and have an experience person use a porter cable on your car. Then top it off with some high quality finishes (tropicare, zaino, etc.)

We have shipped many PC or UDM buffing kits to customers who have never used a buffer before. These machines are very user friendly and can not burn the paint. The best way to learn using the machine is to turn it on and see its capabilities on the surface.

I second the claybar suggestion. My 99 is getting the full treatment this weekend when I get home. It's only pewter so it's not like I can expect a whole "lot" of shine, but it will be a lot better than it is now.
