Re: !wire mod complete Any pics of the holes? I'd love to do this mod but I was always very leary of cutting and splicing. Are the wires long enough? I thought extensions had to be spliced to make them reach.

Re: !wire mod complete There is only one hole to drill. Hole location and size is the difference between cutting and not cutting. The hole needs to be big enough to fit the connectors through, mine ended up being more of an oval than a circle. The closer you drill the hole to the engine the more play in the wires you are going to have. Just don't drill too far over because you don't want to drill into where the hood strut connects. I should have drilled mine over farther because mine were just long enough. Sorry no picture of the hole, but I will try and take a couple and post them.
Re: !wire mod complete I did mine this past week also without any cutting. The hole does matter, but not a ton if you know the general area of where to cut. I still had a little bit of slack with mine without being too close to the strut connects.

I didn't have to cut anything either. Here's a look at where to mark the hole:

I used a 1" hole saw to make the opening, then dremeled it out to fit the connectors through. If you look at the connectors, there is a "cap" on each one of them. If you remove this cap, your hole doesn't need to be as large to pass them through. HTH

Re: !wire mod complete JPWS6 - I've been their about 4 times already (Think I only missed one that wasen't rained out). But I'm gonna possibly be their this wed and get a GOOD spot. Then after the show I'm jackin the whole car up and removing everything to be cleaned for Super Chevy . Car won't be runnin till SAT morning. (Took wed-sun off work

Absolut, I put some touch up paint on the hole, but you will also want to use some sort of rubber grommet over the hole to protect the wires. I used a small piece of hose and sliced it to fit around the hole.
Re: !wire mod complete Using hose is a good idea. Some vacuum hose sliced down the middle will snug on there nicely and the sape of the hole isn't as critical when using hose.
Re: !wire mod complete I am going to have to put this on the list of "to do's". I just got through removing the AC and doing the wire mod would make that whole side even cleaner.
