Is mrm pretty much purple?

Is mrm pretty much purple? Was thinking about getting an MRM car, but after seeing it in certain light. It looks purple? Just curious if its an obvious purple, or just me?

With very little lighting it looks maroon but in the light it looks purple to me. 
Im possibly trading my car for one and trying to decide if I can live with the color lol.

Man, you've gotta change your sig picture. I keep seeing it and for a second the windshield of the car behind yours looks like a big *** spoiler. Almost looks like you own a batmobile. LOL

i have two trans am's one red and one mrm with a ws6 hood bone stock as a daily and the red one at home, anyway alot of people call it purple at first glance but then i call them stupid and they take a second look, and say nevermind, but at night or in the shadows it looks almost nbm or black, the second pic is without the y2ks taken 4 years ago with my old 79 in the back
If the B in NBM stands for blue and R in MRM stands for red why are we questioning all of this? These colors can be misleading but at the end of the day are they not more blue or red then purple. Look at the purple from the 1998 F bodies the P in BPM clearly stands for purple.
NBM is not purple but it can appear so in parts in certain light. Its like highlights in hair i guess, you can have brown hair with orange highlights...i dunno im not a hair expert but its the only comparison i could think of right now...
