Molding removal failure?

i got goo gone at the dollar store, worked good for me, even though it sounds like your problem is a little worse

As odd as it sounds, the best thing I found to take mine off was bar soap and a clean cotton rag... Just get the bar of soap wet and rub it on the rag and the outline came off pretty easily, much easier than with the 3M adhesive remover that I was using at first.

I had to use warm water and my fingernail. Took forever. . .

I tried the rest of the moldings and they came off all fine. It looks 10 times better IMO. I finally got the little piece off with tar remover. thanks everyone for the input.
