Default A few questions about HID fogs...

I was consdering getting an HID kit for the fogs on my 01 SS. Right now I think I will be ordering from LED Gauges. To those of you that have done this mod, I have a couple of questions.

1. Was this kit completely plug and play, or were modifications to the fog light housings, or wiring harness necessary?

2. Where did you mount the ballasts at? (pics would be greatly appreciated)

3. Is there anything that you regret or wish that you would have done differently about this mod?

Thanks.

I think I might do this too. How much do those kits run?

HIDs are plug and play. Have you considered contacting Brian2006 about HIDs. I would contact him as well to get a price quote. Ledgauges is a little on the expensive side.

Some people have reported that the HID bulb doesn't fit in the Camaro fog light housing and others got it to fit without a problem. Your mileage may vary.

I thought that I read that somewhere...are the fitment issues specific to one type of bulb versus another, or does it make a difference as to what year your car is?

In my experience they aren't plug and play. I didn't buy from Ledgauges but I saw that some people that did said the same thing that the bulbs totally didn't fit.
