I picked up one because I was interested and didn't want to wait. It came today and I tried it out on the two saab's and it works well.

The unit uses line hose pressure and works really well. I had another bucket for rinsing the wash sponge.

I would reccomend this to anyone.

I kind of wanna try one, it seems like a great way to make sure you get every part of the car. I have heard a lot of good things about foam guns.

I have heard some who have adapted this foam gun for use with high pressure spray wands.

For use with hose end applications, the manufacturer lists that it can be used at 40-90 PSI with best results at 40-60 PSI.

In the picture above, it is set at the highest setting of 1:10 ratio. At that rate you are going through 12 ounces of car wash concentrate per gallon of water. At that rate, you will go through a cannister in just several cars. The lowest setting is 1 oz. soap/gallon of water dilution rate(1:128 ratio).

Last night I did a ratio of 2 ounces of car wash concentrate with 16 ounces of distilled water in the canister to do the pre-soak on one car. Plenty of suds for the job and still had 1/2 cannister of mix left over. The distilled water helps to create more sudsing action(requires less soap concentrate) compared to using hard water.

foam guns are great .. I have been using them for a couple of years and love them. THey work great with a standard yard hose.

Steve.. I have had several foam guns, and that one is my favorite, and the one I currently use. TI has been the most durable and is easily adjustable, as I like to place with different soaps all the time, and it makes it very easy.

I would pay for the filter alone. I can sud myself, but the water in AZ is terrible and it dries too quickly to wipe off in most instances. Design a proper filter, not like those cheap "no dry" kits in the stores with a filter that acutally works...

I would buy it a heartbeat.

FYI guys, the gun just has a particulate filter, it doesn't filter out hard water or anything like that.

Motoo344, stop on over one of these weekends and I'll show you how it works.

Here is the version that we'll be selling from the Tropi Care website. The first units will be ready to ship by tomorrow. It is the Gilmour Foamaster Foam Gun (75QGFMR)with 5 multi-ratio settings (1-12 ounces per gallon). This is a quart size heavy duty industrial version that can be used for high pressure cleaning and degreasing applications with high sudsing capability. It is one of 12 different Gilmour foam guns which list from $60-70.

In comparison, the landscape application version looks similar but works different. Its mixing ratios range from 1 teaspoon to 10 tablespoons of concentrate. The Gilmour 362 Professional No Pre-Mix Sprayer is one of 8 hose end and hand sprayers which run from about $4-25 retail.
