LOL... now THATS funny
I just cant wrap my mind around $5k for a front suspension.. and how much better will it be than my $2k Global West coil over system? with the big block the weight savings seem silly to worry about..
But if I hit the lotto..

COograts Steve. What are the first mods you gave planned?
Global West tubular upper and lower A-arms
QA1 front coil over kit
6-piston front and 4 piston rear Wilwood brakes
700R4 trans with 2400 stall converter
And because im nuts:
A new HIGH QUALITY paint job
Oh, and because I just LOVE the bling
billet valve covers
chrome this and that
bow-tie bolts
That should keep me busy till Thanksgiving..
Andy, Its not so much a cost issue as I feel it unnessary.. Im sure I will get great joy from the set-up im doing and its half the cost and 10% of the headache.. Id rather spend the savings on CHROME!!

If I was goimg to build a "driver", I think you made the right choice. I started that way, and through the mod process and the long build time I kept adding/wanting more power, more safety, etc. The engine is a 632 BBC runs on 118 NOS Race gas. Made 1142HP on the engine, and 1555HP on a mild 350HP shot. Should make 1700+ if we push it. Not bad for a single carb 632. It will see some street duty, but never more than 25 miles or so. Wanted a Pro Street Driver, but went to a few of the Fastest Street Car events (NMCA/PRO) and loved the Nostaliga Pro Street Class. Cars have to weigh around 3200lbs and still run in the 7.50's. Very cool class to watch. Hard to believe that this car was the 12 second car I drove to high school.

it seems alot more people on here have first gens now, but maybe all these good first gen pics are bringing us first gen guys out of the woodworks?
my 68 i bought it mid-project. it was going to be a z28 clone, but its not anymore- Lucille wasn't at the point of no return . once i yank the wittle 305 out of her, she'll get ready to only go (fast) in straight lines
great car, Steve. good luck, and happy modding.
