can my dash be repaired?
can my dash be repaired? Those of you that saw my post yesterday know that I had what some think was a Tach mount bolted through my dash from the previous owner. I successfully removed that today. My question now, is can I repair this damage? I have a guy that says he can fix the holes but I wonder how to get the dent to come out of the dash. Is it just foam under there? If so could I just ***** it with a pin, and put some water on it and hope it might swell back up? Here's a pic of what it looks like now.
There are some dashes on e-bay dirt cheap too. Another option is to get some leather or micro-suede to cover the whole soft dash part, fill the dent with Great Stuff foam (the softer kind) and cover the dash. You get a more custom look, repair the blemish, and if you wanted a custom look, it'll save you the $$ of buying a whole replacement dash.

Another option is covering it with something custom, like a gauge pod (I would bolt on the ones the SN95 Mustangs use)... I know, you just got rid of a tach but I am talking about replacing it with something nice looking that would almost look factory, not redneck/ghetto.

Bah your right, that's the piece right behind it. Thanks for that ebay link. If that's the going price for them I'll have to wait a little bit. Maybe I can find one at the junkyard near me.
