Need some interior swap help
Need some interior swap help Ok So I bought my wife a 96 V6 T5 Car this past week. (Its what she wanted, but I atleast made sure it was the 3800 lol).
However it came with Manual Locks and Windows. My Z has Power Everything. She of course wants them so besides just swapping doors what else would she need?
Do I need to swap the interior harness under the dash? Is there going to be any major differences in the interior harness from the V6 to the V8?

Also on a minor note her rear hatch does not have defrost and mine does... I would not mind losing that either. So any help on if there is a harness I have to include there as well would be great.

Well, you don't have to switch the doors, not even really necessary to switch the door panels (the buttons pop in where the blank is now and you can just take the roll up handle off).
The rest I believe would be a pain. You would need the wiring harness and a new BCM (body control module).
My recommendation would be to get her an alarm and have the power locks installed. Power windows I would live without since our motors love to die. If she can't, you are best off wiring up your own... Just a reverse polarity switch, the motor, a relay and some wires... Best of luck

But if my car has all power and hers doesn't thats why I was going to switch... So would my car not have everything I need?
Couldn't I just take my BCM and such and put it on hers?
Thats what I was looking for, what do I need to pull out of mine, including any wiring to give her my power options so I can take her non power options.

Ahhh... I misunderstood. I thought she was jealous of your power stuff, you were keeping yours and add it to hers. Yes, just start at the switches, follow the wires and remove whatever you can...
It will be confusing (and I don't know the answers) when trying to figure out how to get key fobs to work since I believe they are VIN specific...
