Pics of the new manta stripe. I ordered a manta decal kit and the guy that was going to put it on decided to just paint it since we were having trouble with the decal. He freehand taped the hood off and I was amazed how he was able to get the shape down. It took him less than 5 minutes to tape it off. The shape turned out great but I wasn't happy with the paint. There are imperfections in it. Looks great until you get right on top of it. Everything is painted except the spoiler, it's still a decal but it looks just like the rest but without the paint imperfections. It was free though so I can't complain too much. I'm getting it redone next week anyway.

It's a different painter that will be re-doing it and he's as much a perfectionist as I am. $100 for just the hood or $200 for the whole car. That's stripping all of the old paint off, re-masking and shooting the stripes and adding clear. He's our painter at the dealership and he's cutting me a deal since it was his idea to get the other guy to do the decal install and wasn't happy with the way it turned out.

You are so lucky, I wish I had hook ups like that on painters.....damn, you have no idea, i have been to so many, and they just want to overcharge like theres no tomarrow....I have had no luck in finding a good one....

Slow down Jeff... Man, you have had the car less that 3 months from STOCK form and it already looks better than alot of White SS that i have seen on here...
Great/Tasteful job Jeff.... Not as nice as your former SOM 02 TA... but it's very nice nonetheless..
