Don't berger anything. You are the original owner of that car, and from your website it seems like you have lots of documentation on it. DON'T take away from it's value by painting anything. Just put some black inserts in there and be done with it. That car is beyond too beautiful to go unnecessarly painting it.
Nothing is flat on your car. Do not paint your SOM one get another tail filler and paint it.

Use vinyl inserts....you can go crazy with vinyl and if you don't like it you can peel it off and try something else. My car is NBM and I just put silver inserts in mine. I just bought a vinyl cutter and I'm going to be trying some different things soon. I'm going to try some Chrome vinyl inserts next.Instead of painting the tail panel, why not put flat black vinyl on it?
