Default Tint vs no Tint

I know its illegal but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who has lightly tinted their front windshield. Seems to me like it would be much cooler if every window was tinted.

I'm sure a lot of people here have done it. A lot of people here (where I live) have done it, no one ever gets pulled over for it.

oops I voted tinted but I didn't read your post lol. I would say no for windshield, chances are you'll get pulled over, you wont like it at night seeing straight out of that even if it was only like 35%, and imagine taking it off.. you'd be at it for a hour then your inspection sticker would get fucked up.

I say no. Just get a strip at the top.

Also if you are in a state that has an inspection sticker on the front window, don't do it anyways because the tint would get messed up and it would just look stupid

I gotta say 'no' to this one. Think what it would be like at night.

I had mine tinted before I got it inspected two years ago. It looks badass and I never got pulled over. On the other hand it was a nightmare in the rain, you can see ****. hope that helps!!

depends on how much you drive at night, and how the cops are in your area. I just see it being more of a headache than anything

I'd say no. It just seems strange to me. Side & rear window tint is awesome but front windshield is taking it too far IMO.

Yea, I guess it would decrease night visibility come to think of it. I have 20% all the way around (sides, rear) and I had 5% put on the t-tops and it stays real cool if I put a front deflector up when its parked, but if i don't have that deflector up, it gets real hot. Just thought tinting the front might work.

Ever worn sunglasses at night?

'nuff said. Tint doesn't belong on a windshield.

LMAO!! Now I can't get that outta my head!!

I do think sunglasses are darker than 50%. I want 50% on my windshield. If I can find polarized tint, that's what I'll use. I sure wouldn't use 35% or 20% even. Only something REALLY mild like 50%.

A 4" strip of 35% is legal in Cali. It should be in alot of other states.

If you are asking about tinting the entire windshield, that's a no go sir.

When I bought my first car 6 years ago (1990 cadillac deville) it had the complete windshield tinted 35%. I never got pulled over in it and I really liked it during the day, but like everyone says, the night sucked and I tryed not to drive it late. I personally would never even think about tinting the entire windsheld again.

The tint strip is a good idea though.
