Fuse box relocation warning!

Fuse box relocation warning! I just put my fuse box down where the air pump used to be and everything was good! Well last night i got caught in a nasty storm for about 30 miles and nothing bad really happened but a 3am my car horn started going crazy on and off in the garage and the horn relay was clicking in the fuse box. So i put the box in the normal locating and it was wet on the inside of the box. So i pulled the relays and blew it out with a air hose and let it sit and put some dielectric grease on the relays and left it in the normal location and everything is good now. If your car is a true DD like mine if you do relocate the fuse box i would put the thick plastic bag around it and tape it up good to keep water out of the fuse box. Just a heads up! 
Water and dust can get in there. I had a problem with my car not wanting to start at times and it turning off while I was driving. After checking fuses for continuity and cleaning them I took out all the fuses and cleaned them. Then I sprayed some electrical cleaner on the contacts in the fuse boxes and put all fuses back.

get a large zip lock bag and stick it in the bag and tape it up nice and tight! Only thing i can think off. Make sure you get a cover so you can't see the ghettoness lol

I heard that...**** you might as well get some bailing wire and tie your muffler in place while your at it.
That's why I put mine where I did. They are not hidden but at least it's a slightly cleaner look than stock.
LS2bait put his where you put yours with no problems. Any idea if his is a DD?

Or even put it in a tuperware container, and then silicone up the hole you'll have to cut where the harness comes out.

Mine is back in the stock location! Just saying what could be done and make it safe but it would be ghetto and as long as you had a cover nobody would ever now. 
a bag and tuperware will still build up with condensation... and eventually it will get wet.. as said b4 some things are better left alone.. thier is a reason gm put it were it is...
hmmmmm. mine have been there for a year and i have not had a single issue. my car gets driven 4-5 days a week in any weather and i live in florida so it rains here a lot. ive checked them a couple times and they were always fine. did you put a cover over the top of them? i know i have one and never had any issues.

I'm from Florida too! By im in Missouri and i was in a crazy severe heavy storm! 40-60mph winds and super hard rain! could see 15ft in front of me and car was all over the place!
I had a relay get wet but it was was for my line lock. It was fun trying to go from a red light when the front brakes were locked up.
I thought this was a cool idea but the first thing that came to mind was the problem I had with the line lock. I wouldn't want something like that happening on the road.

My personal opinion is to just leave it where it is, GM put it there for a reason.
