That really sucks...I've had wax on some of my plastic for months. 
How do you remove wax from plastic?

How do you remove wax from plastic? I have waxed my car over three times over the past few weeks trying to build up a good layer of wax. I was looking at my car today and noticed dried up wax on certain plastic part and weather stripping. How do you get it off. I tried using alcohol, dawn and water, bug and tar remover, and even simple green. HOw can I get it off?

Alcohol (tried that, doesn't work on old wax)
White vinyl drafting eraser, haven't tried that (found at office supply stores).
3M Refresh Vinyl/Leather cleaner/protectant.
There are other smaller brand name products that will work but they are all mail order and it's too much of a hassle.

Re: How do you remove wax from plastic? i used some industrial strength degreaser and then some armorall and it took that junk right out. might need a hard brissle tooth brush too. hope this will help ya
