Default Window Tint

I just got my windows tinted today..Looks awesome..99 T/A Black,Gray Leather,Chrome wheels..You have to tint window on that color and it looks so much better.. I have 22% on the back and 32 on the sides.. Is it going to be a problem? What do you guys think? I'm sure most of you have your windows tinted, what is your experience with the 5.0?

Default I'm a tinter

the dot matrix is tricky the dots actually stick out off the window so it is hard to get the tint to stick between the dots but I have heard of people painting the matrix black and tinting the rest one piece of course

ask any question you want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Well

I normally charge $60 for two windows but I have seen some shops charge all the way up to $120 so the best thing to do is call or go by

It cost me $200 for all 3. Isn't every state's tint law different? Here in Mn its 50% all the way around, that is just unacceptable..

I have 5% all the way around, but here in FL everything has insanely dark window tint, no problems with the police. Before this car drove a toyota with 15% for 5 years, not 1 problem

DAMN! 50%? that would suck nuts, here in Al the legal limit is 32% and you can still see through that, I couldn't imagine 50% even being noticable.

When I bought my car it had 5% on the sides...got pulled over a week later and got a ticket. I removed the tint and had the ticket dropped. I put 32% on and everyone would ask me if I was going to get my windows tinted (having a white car makes this worse). I have 20% all around now and love it, still dark enough that people can't see in going down the road, but not so dark I have to wig out about getting pulled over all the time.

My sister has 32% on here black passat and it looks like 15% though, I guess a darker car REALLY makes the tint look darker.

I rocked 15% on the sides and 5% on the back for about 3 years. I got pulled over once in Dallas and the ticket was $300 +/- . It's a bit of a pain to have to roll them down quickly if you're getting pulled over, and state inspections are a pain as well, but I love my tint. Texas law is 30% on sides and no limit on the back. It can actually be painted if you want.

yes you can tint over the dots or paint it if you tint it,,,,, after a few days you will have a white discoloration that because the tint is sticking to the dots and not the window.....

i see what your saying, what about if you paint the dots, then go to the shop to get the windows tinted and have them tint the whole window even where i painted the dots?

if you can tape it off good enough they won't have to tint that part, they will just tint 1/4" past. it won't look funny from the inside, it actually looks more professional the hard part is no over spray I would use flat black one heavy coat should do nicely

15% is about the same as an suv or van that has factory tint, they test at about 20%

on some cars like our f bodies i will take some wet sand paper and knock the dot matrix down a little bit. it seems to help, i HATE when people paint them. to me i'de rather have it a little white then having spray paint on your back window. a friend of mine picked up a mustang used and the previous owner did that. nicks and scratches make it look cheap to me.

everything i own is all tinted out. windshield and all. my ram is 15% all around with 35% "platinum" or silver'ish tint on the windshield. my camaro is 5% on the hatch, 15% on the sides and 35% on the windshield. when the car is back on the road i'm going to redo all the tint and just do limo on the sides since it's not much different with how dark the car is

I used to get messed with by the local cops all the tiem, but now they all know me and have realized where i work/what i do...

also my buddys old stratus that we tinted up just the same as my camaro.

and for prices. i would expect to pay $60-$80 for a driver/passanger window tint. and i charge $175 for an f body since there is only 3 windows. most 2 door cars with 1/4 glass i get $200 for
