Default polishing brake box

I'm polishing the brake line distribution block under the hood (whatever the hell that aluminum block with the break lines coming out of it is called)

I see it is held in place with two bolts. Can I undo those bolts and lift it up slightly, or will that wreck the steel brake lines coming out of it?

Just wondering how flexible those are, don't want to spring any leaks.

Is it safe to unbolt it and prop it up a bit so I can get my dremel on both sides?

you'd be fine to unbolt it as long as you don't move more than like an inch in any direction.

perfect, that should be enough to polish all the visible areas.

Thanks

I unbolted mine and replaced the bracket holding it with one I had chromed. Once its unbolted there is a lot of wiggle room with it...but if there isnt enough for you just unbolt the bracket and move it out of the way.
