Thanks for all the nice replies

It'll be a few days before I get pics of the intake installed in the car. I'm still waiting on the heads/cam. Hoping to pick those pieces up on Monday and will then have a couple hours each evening to put it back together.

Will take pics once she's reassembled.

Just wondering, how long did that take you? Including removing it out and then painting it.

Yep, rattle can. Used the engine enamel stuff from the local auto parts store.

Took about 90 minutes to get the intake/rails, etc off the car. About an hour on top of that to clean the residue from all the plastic. The longest portion was masking. I used an iron-on fabric star as a template. Drew the star outlines on painters tape and cut them out w/ an Exacto knife.

Painted the entire intake white. Let it dry (doesn't take long at all w/ engine paint ). Added the star masks and marked off the areas not to be painted blue w/ painters tape. Sprayed the blue. Removed the star masks, which leaves behind white stars from the initial coat of paint.

Finally masked off all the blue areas + where I wanted the white stripes and painted everything red. The red is around the fuel injector/rail because it's hard to cover those compound curve areas w/ white. Again, removed the masks.... and that's it.

Finished by spraying the whole intake w/ a coat of clear to even out the paint lines from masking the various color layers.

Total time (not including reinstalling the intake).....about 6 hours.
