Any Zaino distributors registered yet? got a question
I've been hearing about a new Zaino product that is supposed to be coming out anytime now that you will add to your wax. It's supposed to eliminate the need for polish lock, and you'll be able to apply multiple coats without waiting 24 hours. I don't know much about it, but there were a TON of other benefits to this stuff. Does anybody know about it?

The new Zaino is called ZFX, and it is supposedly going to be out "soon". But it has been at that status since May.
The benefits are:
No more need for Z1 Polish Lock
No cure time in between coats (you used to have to wait 12-24 hours between coats of Z2-Z3-Z5)
Increased gloss - probably only measureable with a scientific insturment
Increased durability and protection
It is going to come with 4 two oz. bottles, so that you can mix the ZFX with your existing Z5-Z3-Z2.
That's all I know about it.
Cool28,
If the Z1 is leaving marks on your paint when you use it, I believe that you are probably not rubbing it in well enough. The Z1 needs to be rubbed onto the paint until it is almost invisible, not just wiped on like Z2 or Z5. I have made the same mistake before, KevinSS made a post about it a few months ago

Which stuff do you want? Regular Zaino or ZFX. The Zfx isn't available yet though.

I talked with Zaino Steve. He says he has used 'beta' versions of ZFX and that it's a great product... but it's still not "out" yet.

Re: Any Zaino distributors registered yet? got a question
I dug up the post KevinSS made about proper Z1 application. Here's exactly what he had to say on the subject:
"What people are NOT doing correctly is rubbing in the Z-1 fully, in other words leaving too much standing on the surface before putting 2 or 5 on top. When you first wipe Z-1 on the paint, you see little bubbles or "*****" of the product, you shoud keep rubbing the Z-1 into the finish until it almost goes away totally and only looks like a haze or film on the paint, kinda like steam on the surface. It takes 4 or 5 wipes to get this to work out, just one pass with Z-1 is not enough, this is what Sal means when he says let the Z-1 haze. Use firm pressure when rubbing Z-1 INTO the finish, doing this will make Z-1 and 2/5 dry in less than an hour, less than 30 min. in my case."

I've used it on my car at the 00 and 01 Firehawk Rallies... Its great product and does add a little more "depth". Defenitely gonna be worth it!
