Default Need brakes. Thinking power slots.

Any opinions on them? What other options do I have for stock type rotors? Also what pads to go with them?

For under $800, the Eradispeeds are probably your best bet!!

I bought a set of KVR front rotors on a GP from Fasttoys for my T/A, and they were great. My stock rotors were severely warped (how shocking), and I thought I would give them a shot since the price was good and people seemed to like them. They had right at 10,000 miles on them when I sold the car, and I never had any problems.

How are the KVR's and power slots holding up to warpage? Baer is too expensive right now for me. And I'm kind of shying away from any stock rotors, even though it took 30k to warp mine.

Like I said, my KVR's didn't give me any problems in the 10,000 miles that I had them. My stock rotors were warped before 10k on my T/A. I haven't heard of anyone complain about the KVR's warping, not that that means anything.

I never looked that close, but sounds about right.

I had powerslots...they started to show signs of warpage around 10-12k miles. They are sitting on the garage floor now

The Power Slots are NOT stock rotors. They are stock SPEC rotors manufactured by Power Slot in the California facility. However the Baer Enhanced rotor IS a factory stock piece with slots. The Eradispeed, from Baer, is however the best option you have. It is a new rotor w/ thicker surfaces, directional cooling vains and aluminum hats. And while they are priced at $775 a set, the front pair can be had for $550.

There is definatly no way that Powerslots are stock pieces with a slot milled into it. Have you seen the difference in thickness and weight between the two. The PS are much "beefier" than the stocks. I have PS on my 95 TA and I love them. Got the Thunder racing brake package and I am very happy with the kit. Hope this helps.

Some other options are:
Baer Eradispeed - real expenive, slotted and cross drilled

KVR - cross drilled, or slotted, or blank

Stock Replacements - an updated part number mid way through last year, supposedly better than the ones that were factory installed up to that point.

Hey Blackhawk!! Long time no talk to you!!

Back to the slots, I got them on my car after the dealer cut my stock crap ones twice....I replaced the pads w/ OEM delco pads.

No prob have been to the track 3 times in the last 3 weeks or so and they are great. Car stops great. I cannot speak of them after 10K but for now, they are great.

As for them being cad coated GM rotors, NO they are not! they are very heavy and got alot of meat on em. The package shipped was like 50 lbs.

TByrne has them...I got 10% off and got them shipped to be for what they'd cost without shipping after his special.

They look really nice, anything is better then the rusting crap GM tosses on our cars.

Hey Claire, how ya been? I got fed up with the old regime, and got myself locked over there. How's the new car treating you?

I think I'm going to go with the powerslots

Hey, the car is great. Just re-dyno'd at 18K and now have 334 at the wheels and all I have is a lid. I just got Nitto's on and I will see next week how low I can get my 60' down.

Other than that, happy with is, got a great b/f he too has a T/A in Navy Blue LOL but he's got lots more HP than me!!

The slots are great, and look great too. I have been very hard on them at the track slowing from 110 and they feel great. The car stops better than w/ the stock crap.

I don't have many miles on them, but they are great so far.

I got mine shipped to me for $235 check out TByrne first...he gave me a 10% off. I bought new OEM pads and they seem fine with them.
