Ok well I talked to VFN today and the wife approved it so I will be ordering tomorow. They also recomended hood pins for anything above 130mph so I guess I will probably end up with a set. Goodby factory latch!
Well got to go pick up my cearing orders, time to start outprocessing!

Sounds expensive but only $20-$50 for everything I am talking about... Similar to what you see on a lot of 1970ish Chevelles...
got a pair of nice ones in the garage with the cables. bought a pair for this car right after i sold my iroc that had them, but i dunno about them on the fourth gen

Ya definetly. Ill probably put it on myself and then have a body shop allign and fit it. ill get it painted later down the road.
Honestly i kinda like the way a white car looks with an unpainted hood, ya weird I know, but it aint going to bother me to drive around for a while without paint.

While I am having fun spending your money... You going to stay with the SS spoiler or go for a bigger 3 piece to compliment the bigger hood:

Not the best spoiler pics but it is the same spoiler as the Dick Harrell cars...

Go here and look at pic 5 for a white one:

Well its done. For better or worse its done I just got off the phone with VFN and ordered the 4 inch cowl. Should be at my home in ~4 weeks.
Man I hope this looks good! Anyone ever have buyers remorse or just get nervous after buying a part?

All the time... Sometimes you get over it before it comes, most times you get it and love it and can't imagine not having it but then again sometimes you actually don't like it and have to sell, take a small loss and try again...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I still say the VFN looks better than the ASCD...

Not to mention price and quality of VFN is great...

Now I get to look forward to stripping my current stripes off when it gets here...
I still want to figure out a stripe pattern for the new hood, maybe just a single stripe that spans the width of the cowl but dosent drop down to the sides. Something along those lines. What can I say I like stripes!
