Default Sealant then wax?

Would the correct way to apply these the sealant first, then the wax?

Say take Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0 then go over it with a carnauba wax?

Pick one.

Otherwise, you are wasting the second step. It probably won't adhere.

I have been reading up on that and read that you can do a sealant first then top it off with carnauba on autogeek.net

I suppose it depends on the products.
Interesting.

I will be paying attention to this thread.

From what I understand you can apply a sealant and then use your polish/wax of choice on top of it.

You can do a Polymer Sealant, then a Carnuba Wax, but keep in mind, it is time-consuming and there are a few products your really can't use. But, the results are excellent, if you have the patience. You'll get the best of both worlds.... a high shine and protection, and a deep, "wet" gloss look.

-After polish, use a pure polymer sealant. Examples of this are Meguiar's No. 20 and 21 Polymer Sealants, Menzerna FMJ, Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant. DO NOT USE MEQUIAR'S GOLD CLASS, NO. 26, OR NXT OR ANY MOTHER'S WAX PRODUCT.... these have slight abrasives in them and they do have some carnuba content. Aplly over entire car and then let sit for at least 12 hours... this will give the sealant a chance to cure.
-Apply a carnuba wax over entire car. P21S, Pinnacle Souveran, Blackfire Midnight Sun, or the expensive Zymol waxes (not the cleaner wax), would work the best and give the best look.

You can layer another coat of carnuba wax ofter 8-12 hours to give a deeper gloss.

MrPongoSS is correct, especially the part about cleaner waxes. As the name implies, a cleaner wax helps clean the surface it's adhering to, so it would take off some (if not all) of the sealant.

I've started using Tropi-Care's paste wax over their sealant with very good results. It gives some extra depth and gloss to the shine.

I have heard great things about Pinnacle Souveran! For the P21S they make 2versions. P21S 100% carnauba, and P21S concours carnauba. Which one?

Unless you have a showcar just stick with a sealant. Waxes degrade in the sun and heat. Any Zaino sealant and Z8 will look killer.

Either one will do the job. Both are great waxes and very easy to use.

Do you guys put wax over Zaino? I just put a coat of zaino on today and plan on doing more tomorrow. Should I apply wax after that or no?

Absolutely not, Top with Z8 and then get a microfiber towel to wipe the drool off your car

I just use Z2 for the polish, and then Z-CS. Washed it today after a couple of weeks since the application and it's still beading awesome and feels great. Also washed super easy.

Just got some Z5 the other day to try and make everything perfect and try on some of my fam. members cars but won't be applying it to mine for quite some time due to the recent application of said others.

I'd like to try the Z6 for between layers of polish and then Z8 to top it off but definitely don't want to drop that much cash.

I like Blackfire Wet Diamond and then Pinnacle Souveran. On darker colors, that seems to be the look to beat. P21S over Meguiar's No.21 is great on metallics. I haven't tried the Blackfire Midnight Sun, but I have heard great things about it.
