35th stripes on Sunoco hood?
What do you think about doing gunmetal or black 35th stripes on a silver Z28 with the Sunoco hood (no body line)?

I was thinking of doing this but with the stripes modified to go right over the hood scoop..if you get what im saying. Decided to go with the SS hood now though, so that wont be happening.
LE stripes on a non LE are just dreamers. Ever time I see one I just wonder
and mine are better than LE stripes, they are painted, not cheap vinyl

As for the bent out of shape 35th owners out there....1) my car is silver, so I'm not faking a LE car and its a Z28, so I'm not trying to clone a SS. 2) if its got the Sunoco hood, even my grandmother would know its not a LE car.
By your logic, everyone with two stripes down the center of their car is a "dreamer" and trying to make their car a Shelby. Not to mention all those "dreamers and posers" with their ZO6 and Vette wheels, I'm sure there are tons of C5 owners who are in tears because someone is trying to rip off the look of their car.
Isn't the saying, "imitation is the greatest form of flattery"? So GM gave the LE cars some nice appearance touches and you happened to fork up the dough to have those...great. Some of us happen to like to looks of it, and chose to take bits and pieces to make our cars different from the 100,000 other F-bodies out there. If it happens to make ours look slightly more like the 3396 of yours...tough.
Does a Replica corvette wheel designed after the 35th LE wheel qualify for the same? I never thought of it that way.
