Default Thinking about making rear difussers for Trans-Ams...

...posted in road racing as well but hadn't had a response yet. What do you guys need to be functional? Does it need to cover the whole bottom of the bumper or can it just be a couple of blades on the CETA part of the bumper?

My idea is to basically make fins in set of two for you guys. So you and do one on each side of the license plate or two.

Original plan was to have it cut out of a thick enough piece of plastic that I could just drill holes through it and have you mount it direct.

Otherwise it will be thinner with an angle off the mounting point to screw on, like this:

Either in plastic or aluminum. Point is something CHEAP (price wise) to sell you guys. What do you think? Obviously, I'd make something that looked good...

Surely I can do it for under $100 shipped for the pair (that being a high price for the nicest design). Any interest? What are you looking for?

Only way they'd look good on Camaro's is if they were made to fit the CME...

Have you ever played Forza 2? They have them on there, they don't look half bad.

^^Screen pic? Also, I'm having some dash plaques made for friends. They will either say 6LITEREATERDESIGNS (in brushed aluminum and etched) or 6LE PACKAGE since you're all over my posts and my first loyal customer I'd give you one if you would actually want it.

It would replace the plastic plaque that says CAMARO on the stock dash...

Awesome! Mines worn really bad

Can't find a pic on Google, but I'll get one later, since I need to finish getting my points in it anyway.

^^Nice! The new emblem I am having Steve (Specialized Stainless) work on will look like this:

but have 6LE (in the square box where the GM is) and then 6LITEREATER (where the performance is) and DESIGNS (where the DIVISION is) all in font similar to the original emblem.

What do you think?

And yes, I have hijacked my own thread

That'd look really good! It'd give me a great excuse to buy other aluminum accents for my interior. Brushed or polished?

Oh, and

Well, as soon as I have one in hand (assuming he is able to make them) I'll ship one right out to you. E-mail me your address again... You are the first car to officially have the... wait for it...

6LE PACKAGE

Thanks again to Gilbert for coming up with it

that would look pretty good on a trans am. If only my front bumper weren't wrecked i would already have a splitter.

it would be interesting to make a "splitter" for the rear that is just a flat huge piece of plastic.

it is hard to explain but on a camaro with no exhaust it is ugly with the trunk metal showing under the center rear. So it would bolt to that and cover everything. Meaning from the edge of the rear bumper cover, side to side. so no air can get up under the rear.

this has already been done. I was a RR car with it all covered and there diffuseres mounted. It was for high speeds.

I'm wondering if someone can photoshop this style on a T/A? I think something like this would look good and maybe fill the cutouts for the tips for people who have turn-downs...

I would vote for aluminum if I had to choose. Can be polished and seems like it might hold up a little better.

I would be interested in it. How about a flat aluminu plate to cover the back end with 4 to 5 fins spaced out evenly.

Cool idea. It would be nice to see on the car.

Looks like I may have to buy a TA bumper now too.
