That mat finish is actually an additive in the clear coat, something that can be waxed, cut....etc... It simply deletes that "shinney look".....I personally wouldn't do the whole car, because my car is the shinny black with a flat manta and berger panel.

I love it.

I think it looks better on the Dick Harrell with a highly modified body than a stock one. Maybe I like it because it reminds me of the FIA GT Ferrari 575 of Team JMB at Monza in 2004 or the press presentation models of race cars.

If I remember the story right, it is Valerie Harrell's car. It was delivered to her without paint so her painter could paint it. I think it was painted bright orange metallic and was featured in GMHP magazine.

The LS7 4th gen and the 69' look badass. The LT1 w/ the TTII's looks pretty decent too.

Would i do it? Maybe on a spare/race car but not on my DD.

Where did you buy the flat paint?? I picked up a 97 Z and someone painted it some sort of purple and red stripes.. Ugg. Its embarrassing to even have in my shop. I need to change the color asap./..
