Default Thinking of painting camaro flat black?

I posted this in paint and body too but, I was thinking I might get more responses here.

My buddy is thinking of painting his camaro flat back and is wondering how hard the paint will be to take care of maintenance wise. Washing, waxing?, water spot removal, etc...

Don't wax it and wash it with regular car wash soap. My '94 is Satin Black and the water spots aren't that bad unless it is washed in the sun or not dried off

i wiould think it would look better if it was a 93-97 body, they just look more aggressive from the front end. 98-02, not so much.

What brand of soap do you use?

Sounds cool, but I think I would get tired of it quickly.

It would deffinetly be different.

I dpn't see why satin black would waterspot worse than any other color. Its still got clear on it so as long as you dry it off and wax it you should be ok.

On a side note when I was looking for a car I found a flat black lt1 car with chrome wheels and tinted windows and it looked ****** mean. I was professionally done too and had clear on it also, it just wasn't shiney. Someday I'll own a flat or satin black car, just not sure what it will be

My friend is painting his car satin black. We got the whole car stripped down Tuesday and it will be going to the paint shop next week. I'll take some pictures once it's painted.
