In your case, I would have done pretty much what you did...red is bright, but yellow is insane...you have to be careful how much you use or it gets ridiculous. The yellow stitching is the perfect touch, I applaud your taste.

I've got a few things done, recovered and embriodered seats and door panels, matching shift boot and console lid.

I also have a white Hurst shift **** and silver gauges/TA bezel but everyone has seen those. I really want to wrap the rest of the interior at some point, like toofazt; my plastics look like crap.

Mine actually hangs low enough for the light to stay on. I fixed that by putting a clear silicone drawer/cabinet-door bumper (from Home Depot) on the raised pad that pushes in the lights push-switch. Now the light stays off unless I actually open the glove box.
