Re: New TSB to come out guys on F Body structure.
I seen the documentation come in today. It looks like some kind of plate is supposed to be riveted in somewhere close to the front door hinges on the inside. I actually don't like to do recalls at work since they don't pay worth a **** for the time spent on them.

So I guess those 1.5 60' times will take their toll. I'll just keep my BMR SFC's and call it good. I'm sure the 100,000-mile '93 Z28 is going to benefit from this.

You don't need 1.5 60ft, LOL. I've only been able to cut a 1.7 a couple of times and have creases above the rear tires on both sides.
It's hard to tell from this pic but the reflection of the cloud is distorted from the crease. I guess 300 sub 2.0 60fts are bad.

Is there some number or other identification on the document that I could give to the dealer? I called them today, and they pleaded ignorance.

Do you have subframe connectors or STB?

Re: New TSB to come out guys on F Body structure.
It looks like a campaign (means recall) for certain 2002 F-bods. It doesn't look like anything to do with body structure at all, mainly safety.
[quote]Condition
General Motors has decided that certain 2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird model vehicles fail to conform to Federal/Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS/CMVSS) FMVSS 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," CMVSS 208 "Occupant Restraint Systems in Frontal Impact," and FMVSS 214 "Side Impact Protection," CMVSS 214 "Side Door Strength." These vehicles may have four welds attaching the front body hinge pillar outer to the front body hinge pillar reinforcement near the lower driver's side door hinge that do not meet GM's specifications. In a crash, an occupant could receive more severe injuries.
Correction
Dealers are to install three structural rivets
