It seems to me like you're trying to get a fresh start again, which is definitely a good thing. If that's the case, just fess up and admit that you were BS'ing in the other thread and we'll shake hands and have a good introduction at SDR.

Get a converter. A verter should be the first mod in an A4.

Re: got $1500 to spend...what mods? If you're trying to make a fresh start, then I'd suggest stepping with the other foot first this time around. If you're truly just starting out, then I'd also suggest playing your cards better because this site has a LOT of technical information that can help you out. Also, please pay attention to which forum you're posting in. You're asking for which mods in the chassis, interior, body, and wheels section. If you're looking for engine mods, then try the engine forum. If you want to learn more about torque converters, then I'd recommend the drivetrain forum. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> simple enough <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> I'm going to lock the thread b/c it's in the wrong forum. I'd move it, but I don't know if you're wanting engine or drivetrain info. If you do a lot of searching, you'll most likely find what you need. If not, feel free to post. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> Like I said above, I encourage you to check out and post on this board. You can learn a LOT from asking questions and reading (doing searches for old posts).
