On the tags they usually say to hand wash em, but I have no patience to hand wash like 5 cloths and 3 pads at one sitting. How do you guys handle this?

I also use the washing machine on gentle cycle with a mild laundry soap. Just never use fabric softener or dryer sheets. It can leave a residue on the microfiber towels.
MicroFiber Rejuvenator is a special detergent/wash.

I use Tide for my MF towels, washmitts, waffle weaves, and applicator pads.
Then run a second cycle with just water and vinegar.
Hang dry.
Tried a MF rejuvantor, didn't notice a difference.

Foam buffing pads such as Lake Country's are machine washable in warm/hot cycle using liquid detergent to remove product residues. They won't come apart even washing with hot water.
With microfibers we offer, we run the same process and suggest adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar during the cold water rinse cycle. The vinegar acts as the fabric softener and helps to release the soap suds from the fabric. For drying, you can either line dry or use low dryer heat setting.

I have been washing my personal microfibers using the hot wash/cold rinse cycle for quite some time. No issues with removing the product residues or with continued use. It is the excessive dryer heat that would cause the microfiber to melt.

I use the new / unused ones for polishing and then wash them on gentle and low heat dry. But from then on they are used for cleaning the wheels, applying tire shine and mopping up grease & grime.
Only the virgin ones are used for polishing.
