TRAILBLAZER CONVERTER IN F-BODY??
need a new converter fast. Ive heard about using this converter in an F-body. does anybody have any experience or infor on the swap? I own an envoy (same as trailblazer) and it brake stalls to 2200. I figure it will stall 400-600 higher in the ls1.

koolrayz- I've done this swap on my car and three others.Mine is a 99 TA and the others were a 01 SS,02 TA, and a 98 Z28.The converter will surely feel looser, but got VERY little gains from the swap.

Since your F-body weighs less than a Trailblazer, the stall speed will be less, not more as your wrote.
From: https://www.onallcylinders.com/2016/...rter-selection
“We must remember that the torque converters’ output comes from fluid pressure vs. resistance,” Gill said. “The heavier the vehicle weighs, the more resistance that there is in moving it. Conversely, a lighter vehicle takes less resistance to move. This brings us to the resistance against the pressure that tries to move the vehicle. The more resistance (weight) against the torque converter, the higher the stall speed to move that weight. The less resistance against moving the vehicle, the lower the stall will be in the torque converter.”

I do not think you would see any gain even possibly a loss with the TBSS converter . I mean it should fit and work fine but nothing to be gained, Want real gain get a real aftermarlet performance converter from some place like Circle D or FTI or one of the other sponsors here. NOTE DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON A CONVERTER YOU WILL REGRET IT.
